Snowhigh - Hawaiian Electric Peach
A tribute to the kauai electric that survived the early 80’s floods on kauai; The 60’s to late 70’s version of kauai electric was purely tropical/equtorial sativa hybrid and didn’t contain hashplant like the 80’s version. In the late 70’s about a decade or more of imported afghani regional hash was smuggled into the united states via hawaii and other routes. Being a stop over smuggling route and a superb growing environment, the seeded hash slabs/patties were planted and some of the most potent was used in the 80’s version of the “electric”. As well as an acclimatized golden thai and highland mexican.
The hawaiian electric peach, smells like the fruity, fuzzy rind of a ripe peach. Its not until its pinched you get a semi tart and astrigent aroma. These smells will change and turn into something grand if dry and jar cured and which slows down the drying and converts the ever-changing compounds into different terpenes and cannabinoids. The pistils turn a yellow, peach and pink combination, the floral bud sites, cling to the long stems, and form resinous sticks of floral bracts, easy to trim, dry and cure. Even thought the resin glands are small, resins pack a punch and are plentiful.
From seed, some finish in september and others in october, the heirloom varieties used have been mostly acclimatized to a more northerly latitude. If clones are taken then you can shave 2-3 weeks off of flowering. Indoor flowering times depend on the light set up and nutrient schedule.
